gear shaft

    yet another post about gear linkages etc, ive brought new links and went to fit them today only to find theres hardly any play in the links themselves but every other peice or pieces were wobbling everywhere for example the ball joint at the end of the shaft seems real loose and i can grab the links and move the gear stick about is this normal? so anyway what can i do to get a smooth gear change?

    You could try bushing things up to take away slack, otherwise not really, sadly.
