1.4 gearbox in standard mk2 vtr slower?

    my mrs vtr is really slow and i cant understand why. Every vtr iv owned and been in is a damn sight quicker. Struggles its knackers to redline in and tops out about 115 mph on a straight road? could this be the result of it havng a 1.4 box on it? Im unsure but its slow acceleration and top end. Cheers peepz

    maybe engine is tired - give it a good service and then get back on your private road

    I am sure that if it has a 1.4 box on, it will be faster acceleration and top end off 115 sounds about right.

    I may stand corrected by someone who knows abit more than me?

    i had a furio gearbox on my vtr and im more than sure the ratios were the same
