2000> 1.5D saxo with bosch pump

   has anyone ran their 1.5 diesel with the bosch pump without the engine ecu to control the fuel injection? mine runs and drives but fails the mot emissions test-is there anything I can do or do I just need to get ECU?( I hav tried turning the fuel down but it still smokes badly)It's got no ecu because I've converted it from a lucas pump.if anyone has an ecu by the way please let me know.

   Did you ever sort the problem out, just going to do th same thing, I read some where that you feed 12 volts to the bottom plug.

   which engine did the bosch pump come from?
   
   I know the tud5 was fitted with a bosch but not in this country as far as I know.
