Wheel baring

  1. #1
I have changed the front NS wheel baring TWICE in the best part of 100, 150 mile?

And its started wirring its tits off again, any ideas why this might be? Changing them this often is enough to make me rip my bollox off.

    Thanks

    incorrect driveshaft fitted?

wrong wheel bearing to match your driveshaft, make sure the driveshaft is the right profile to fit inside the wheel bearing/

I have a vtr and the drivers side driveshaft completely smashed the casing. So I fitted a vts driveshaft and now my wheel bearing has gone. Could this be because the vts driveshaft didn't match the vtr bearing?

could be - take the driveshaft out, check the end of it, and then check the profile of the inside of the wheel bearing

Cant be the shaft because they havent changed.

I can only assume that the baring must be incorrect, eurocarparts = complete utter bollox.

Il conduct further investigation next weekend, simply too busy till then.

Yes, the bearing sounds wrong - it'll need to be either a tapered or non-tapered wheel bearing (referring to the profile inside the bearing that is in contact with the driveshaft)
