which thermostat and not the two main models !!

   Hi,
   I need to replace my thermostat....temp light came on, gauge went down. I took out the old one and then went to various dealers and parts places but no one seems to know which one it is.
   I have a 2000 x reg 1.1 desire. My thermostat sits inside the plastic elbow that connects top hose to housing, but it is not part of the plastic housing as people keep telling me that it is. Also it is approx 5-10 mm smaller in diameter than the other model that people keep bringing out.
   Can someone help me please with which part number this third type of thermostat is ?
