Thinking about getting some carbon bits to help acheive a "look"

Thinking about on my Ice Grey VTR about getting the 106 Carbon baseplates and Mirror caps and also the Carbon Fibre Smiley grilll, ( i have mesh from a dimma-style grill that i will most likely put on there

Can anyone tell me how good of quality streamline are? as i have seen a few comments about them but really want to know about how good quality it is for the price you pay

And also the smiley grill says to be placed and bond into position - i take it that this means there is no screwholes to fix it onto the bonnet?

I bought some streamline 106 mirror caps.. they are awsome qauilty but not perfect when going ot bond them on but they look the nuts.

I then a week ago recieved my carbon smiley grill from Streamline.. and to be honest i am very disappointed.. The quality is ok with mild inperfections in the lacquer but thought i would let it pass. I then removed my dimma grill to offer up the carbon one and the fit is really not good. It is too wide by i would say, 2mm and then it is too squashed but around 2mm again.

So very disappointed with the price i paid for this however if other people say they are spot on then i may have just recieved a dodgy one so will email them and see if i can send it back for another when i gat back home...

Anybody else bought a mk2 carbon smiley grill and had problems?

Before anyone says, my bonnet is mint and straight and never been in an accident!

hmm, having a look at 3cott's carbon grill - it dosent really do it for me, the chevron hump in the top of the grill dosent look right - or maby it's just me

Possibly go for a carbon bonnet to solve that problem so it dosent look out of place - but no one will know its carbon unless they looked real close lol, which is a damn shame.

3cott's looks like it fits spot on but hard to tell from his picture... I have just emailed Streamline direct to see what they can do..

Shame as I love their carbon.. the weave and high gloss finish really does look like porn!

Well ill start off with the 106 mirrors, see how that looks on ice grey, preferably paint the mirrors gloss black instead of the plain grainy looking plastic to try and liven the whole thing up

car goes into garage soon anyways, so gives me some time to get them bits sorced and done ready to go on

Sorry to jump your post but i just emailed streamline about my grill and too be honest I am a bit speechless with there response.. They have asked to send it back so a replacement can be made and then trial fitted in their workshop to a mk2 bonnet with pictures of the fitment sent to me for approval before then sending me a replacement..

Absalutly spot on! Their customer service really is second to none.. almost instant email response too!!!!

    Top guys at Streamline!
