i had h4 hi/lo ones on my saxo and personaly thought they wernt that bright, piaa/osram bulbs are just as good but if you want then then id go 4 6000k as 8000k is to blue and they would probably pull you

Item was removed from ebay? If your worried about the police you would probably not wish to fit them at all as they are illegal. This link may help http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps

But if your determined to fit them but wish to not stand out to much standard cars fitted with HIDs tend to come with 35w ones of colour 4200k to 5800k so if you stay within those specs and get them checked for alignment after fitting them you should not stand out to much.

Also bare in mind next to none of the big names sell bulbs to convert from a halogen bulbs so if you see them for sale with brand names on like Osram, Bosch or the likes there fakes and not worth paying any extra for.

h4 for oe (standard) saxo headlights
h1's for angels (dont think you get hi/low ones for angels)

before you buy, read up/do a search on here for hids in angels since there are rumours of them melting fowks lenses/halos but also fowk who use them without any bother.

because the angels use plastic lenses (you'll read up on this if you search) you'll need uv protected bulbs as apparently this i what causes fowks angels to melt

I say go for it, especially if you have angels - the projectors help utilise the full potential of HIDs unlike relfectors.
As for rumours, they are only rumours and no pictures exist on the net nor any minutely detailed report...Im going to get a set for my angels when funds allow me.

That's what I was thinking but a mate of mine uses standard lights on his civicand his lights look very blue 8k?? So would it make a better diffrence using halos?? Or will effect be same using standard

I think I'll go for a 8k White bulb conversion

ive got the 8k in my angels and they are blue when looking from a distance but are white when up close so if you do get pulled with them by the time the pigs ask you to put them back on they'll be white and you wont have any greaf

General bulbs sold as 8000k are blue. For example the bulbs with a blue ish tint as fitted to some BMW, Range Rovers and such like are only 5800k.

6000k is more than enough imo

The lower the "k" the more light there will be. 6000k for example will be brighter than 8000k. Anything over 6000k is too blue imo and you will be lucky not to get pulled. I have 6000k and they are bright white with a hint of blue. Pics in my progress thread if you want to see

im looking at the angel lights, whats a good price for 2nd hand ones?
    or even brand new?
