Event : Problem car!!!!

I not long ago sold my S plate ford focus 1.6 Zetec S for a Citroen saxo VTR. the focus caused me no problems in the time that iv had it, which was just over 1 year. keeping in mind im not exactly a Sunday driver......

Iv now had the saxo vtr 02 plate, for about 2 months. ok fair enoughits got 87,000 on the clock, but the focus had 123,000. The saxo so far i have replaced the tires, £350 which is fair enough. after 2 weeks squeaking started. i found out the gator (rubber cover by the back side of the wheel) had come off. this had now lost all its cv grease and hench the squeaking. new hub. £85.

next the central locking has been playing up recently...not sure y, the sun roof started leaking and to piss me off that bit more there is a bastard rattle in the front dash thats sending me CRAZZZZZZY!!!!!

Finaly...yeasterday nite, i thorght id treat the bird to a nice time to the cinima and a meal.....parked up at the flicks, watched the film, as i came out i pressed the butten to open the doors and i heard a massif BANG!!!
When a bank like that happens its a "oh shit....that didnt sound cheep".
The offside of the saxo had droped to the floor.......after closer inspection the fking spring had SNAPPED!!!!
How often do springs snap on cars......hardly ever is it just me?????

Now im not saying that saxo's are bad cars.....i love my saxo more than anything.....and im going to fix it up once again.....but i just wanted to know if any 1 else has had any problems like this happen to them....

P.S the springs were £200 for 4 replacements. SPAX.

i didnt notice but i must have lol
funny enough the car look absolutely fine when i looked it over.....took it for a test drive and it was fine....just all gone down....literary with the suspension.
dunno weather to go to the scrap yard an just get another 1 strut, or pay the extra and get 4 new springs from spax??????

My springs snapped, but what the hell? 4 replacements? You ain't got 4 springs on a Saxo, only two! If you only need one spring I have a standard spring you can have for free if you like. Save you some cash Its in good condition.

Some of these Saxos have been hammered by previous boy racers, which may result in problems later! ie, my son bought a VTS some time ago, it went like s*it off a shovel, but rattled like f*ck when you drove it, and nothing about it felt 'tight'!

I had a VTR last year and the only problem i had with that was the radiator leaking which wasn't bad.
But the one I've got now is doing my head in and costing a small fortune!

nah, not much look, good job i know what im doing haha. just fixed the new strut on and works like a charm, not licking the floor with the bumper no more lol
well.....i got it from long ford...not a good area to be fair, but its in MINT condition.....an i mean that lol not even a scratch.....but it has got evidence of a re-spray. mines an o2 plate 2, looks very similar to ur display pic. think mine had 2 previows owners, one being some old bird of like 70 lol.
to be fair the car has been modified....and the lad looked like some 1 who would RAG it.
yer no dout about it, when it runs.......its an amazing piece of kit.
