Vts making Knocking/Clunking noises as i drive

   Hi, a few weeks ago i heard a noise which i thought was comeing from my exhaust, it was like a slight vibration, I though it waas strange but never thought anything of it. Over the last few weeks though this noise has changed to a louder Knocking/Clunking noise which sounds like its comeing from the left wheel. The sounds only really occurs once i almost completly remove my foot off the accelerator, when im pulling away or braking the noise dissapears, It dosent even make the noise when i make a sharp turn to the left or right. The only other thing is a few weeks ago the metal band that holds the rubber over the cv joint of the passengers side driveshaft snapped and i have had to grease and replace the metal band. Does anybody have any ideas of what the noise could be ? Cheers

   hey mate it might be your drive shaft mine is making similar noises and been told its the drive shaft

   cheers mate i might just replace the driveshaft for what its worth

   try your anti roll bar links mate, if it happens on country bouncy roads then this could be the problem

   mine used to do changed drive shaft and was fine

   sounds like your anti roll bar links, my saxo was making the same noises and i've had them replaced and now its fine
