bonnett sound proofing

   my car has a sound proofing under the bonnet, not sure if this is exclusive to the vts as my previous 2002 vtr didnt have one. I like to keep my car spotless and i feel the sound proofing looks a bit tatty, do most people remove them? is there any noticable sound differences etc?

   i had one in my vtr when i first got it, its a Treg so i dont think its 'exclusive' as such.
   
   never the less it got removed!

   The underside of your bonnet will need re-spraying if you remove it normally as Citroen didn't think they needed to do it properly where the soundproofing goes!! (If your picky and want it to look good!)

   haha i pulled mine off and puffed out the interior sound proofing with this. hope this helps

   i didn´t notice difference in sound ,i have raceland induction,same roar when pedal to the metal I guess,but it´s defo look better without it

   does anyone know where to get new bonnet soundproofing from? mine has started to come away from the bonnet clips so i want to replace it. Apart from a scrap yard can you buy them new?

   just removed this myself and yeah had to get the underside re-srpayed.
   
   pity my spray painter mate bolloxed it up and there were spatters of paint everywhere when i washed/inspected it at home. ended up spraying it myself, gonna get it re-fitted tonight
   
   lemonflavour; do you mena the soundproofing itself? or the plastic clips that hold it in?
   
   I buy any new plastic trim bits i need off of ebay

    Yeah I mean the soundproofing. All my clips are in place put the sound proofing has come away from them so is hanging loose.

    cant hear much inside due to the interior soundproofing but sounds better outside the car tbh
