Have I just blown a fuse?

Hey there... newbie saxo owner here!
Couple of times recently i have had a 'beeping' when i indicate left.. coming maybe from the glove box? Anyway, just now I indicated and nothing happened! It beeped first then nothing, no left or right indication... no dashboard lights and no bumper action!
On my own at the mo and can't think of anything else except for a blow fuse... any ideas?
    much appreciated!

what sort of beep? The sort of alarm beep that you get when you leave your lights on or the tick-tock of the indicators?

hey, thanks for the quick response! It was kinda vibrating beep.... not as clear as the light alarm but definately not the normal tick tock either. Once the indicator lights stopped so did the noise... do you think it sounds like a short which has now blown?

    No problem,
sounds to me like shitty typical french wiring problems.
sounds like a bad earth or quite possibly as you say a short? Could be the flasher relay that's knackered are all your indicators still all fully functional?

okay as you say, sounds like you've shorted out and then you've popped a fuse. First step is to find out which fuse controls the indicators if that is gone, replace it.. if the new one blows straight away then you've got a short/split wires

Have you lost anything else electrical on the car? usually a fuse controls a few things like on my 306 the CD player fuse ran the clock too, little things like that might make it easier to pin point the fuse if you aren't sure.

If the fuse is in tact then i'd suggest that it would be a relay that has gone kaput!

Thanks ever so much Lew - you're star!
didn't notice anything else not working, but then wasn't far from parking up, so didn't really tinker.....
Almost time to head home, so before I head off I will flick through the manual to find the fuses and have a peek.
Luckily I pass both a Halfords and a Quickfit on my way home, so should be easily sorted if its not a case of simply replacing a fuse.

    thanks again bud.
