Brakepads

   How long do standard break pads generally last?
   
   Got my mot nextweek and I had new pads last mot and since then I've done nearly 30k miles.
   
   Breaks don't seem as good as they did either!*

   Depends what make they were really. Could last 2k could last 40k!

   surely if they dont feel as good as they did youve either got a problem or its time to change the pads?
   
   possibley disc's aswel.

   Not sure what make they were nothing high spec just standard. I had new discs too lastyear!

   personally if you feel concerned id just replace them...
   
   if it goes through fine, it will probably still be in the back of your mind that there not what they where.

   just send it and if it fails then replace them before the retest. cheapest way!

   Go and look at the pads maybe?
   
   If there's no friction material left - it's probably time to change them
