Battery Do's & Don'ts?

    Ok, Im just wondering when im messing around the engine ect should i disconnect the battery before i do? Or is it completely safe by messing around i mean taking the air filter out etc

    its ok 4 the air filter and stuff but any thin electrical like goin near the coil pack its a good idea

    Yes if all your doing is working on is the air filter system.

    This miht seem a bit obv but what about when taking the rocker cover and manifold cover off?

    Do disconnect the battery when working on electricals

    Don't try ballancing a spanner across the terminals

    yea, disconnect it when working with any wiring. else you'll blow fuses/bits up

    just blew a fuse myself :-/

    Dont ever disconnect the terminals if theyre live after the battery has been on charge for a while in an enclosed space.

    Isnt the most common problem but its worth avoiding all the same. If a batterys overcharged it produces hydrogen and a spark from removing the terminal causes the whole thing to go bang.

    Rocker cover u will have to take the coil pack off really to make it easier to get it off, personally id take it off 2 be safe
