smooth side strips

   im sick of seeing my westcoast badge on the side of the door, so decided im going to smooth it off next weekend. What would be best for the job, filler or fiberglass.

   What id do mate is id fill it a bit with fiberglass then rub it down then smooth it over with filler if you use just filler it may just drop out in time.

   i went for p40 (fibreglass) to fill the hole then skimmed it over with filler. thin layer of fillar so it wont sink or shake its way out over time. could be seen as over kill though as some people just use filler

   Use something to fill the gap like wood and sercure it, then filler over the top. If you use he wrong filler it wont dry properly

   cheers for the replies, think im going to use fibreglass and filler.. i can get hold of fibreglass no problem as i use it at work, but what filler should i use, ive got some p38 easy sand stuff from halfords knocking about in the shed, << up to the job or should i get somthing else..

   if u mix easy sand filler and fibreglass you get an easy sanding fibreglass , ideal for the job!!
