power steering noise

   When im turning the steering wheel on standstill I can hear a very faint winding sound which i think might be from the power steering pump? Is this normal?

   Mines is doing it mate.. Asked about a few times but it seems to be normal.
   
   I even changed my power steering pump and it still happened so you should be fine :Y:

   It's normal even mine does it!! Even on full lock when still it makes a winding noise

   mine DOESN'T do it lol, mayb all of your pumps are on the way out at the same time lol

   Same here however if it winds worse and worse, it usually indicates low fluid levels or pump f*cked but overall its nothing out the ordinary.
