power steering and dials gone....?? any ideas?

   hello...was driving home the other night when the dials and power steering stopped working??....it was like the car turned it self off but the engine kept running....the clock flashed and showed service time etc?....then when it stopped....the dials were frozen....i disconnected battery and the dials are now working but still no power steering??...i looked at the fuse for it and its perfect...any ideas?? i'm completely clueless as to what is wrong or how to fix it....any help would be great thanks

   Does your heater blower work and demister?

   yep they both work....just power steering is gone...any ideas??...

   how would i go about looking at it?...and is it something that can be replaced?...excuse ignorance haha

   no not yet....took off the relay...it looks like theres a small bit of dampness....and so i've heard when it gets wet it can screw them up.....going to get a new one tomorrow...can hear something rattling around in there....so im guessing and hoping this is it....the symptoms i got seemed like something blowing heard a click.....and the car sort of restarted its self...highly doubt its the pump or any mechanical problem....and yep alternator working perfect

    got it fixed......was the relay.........went to citroen ireland to get it....bit pricey but fixed now
