Smell of Burning!!

   When I have driven the car on a long run there is a slight burning smell. I have checked the oil and checked for leaks but I have found nothing. This was about 6 months ago, the car has the same perfomance and it is dry all around the engine.

   every saxo i've ever been in has this problem, does it come out the air vents??

   is it lowered? I know of a saxo that rubs and then stinks of burnnig rubber

   if yuo have a separate breather filter fitted then thats probably the cause, theres nothing wrong with your car, if it is bugging you then fit a catch tank

   Mine has this every nown again... I went on motor way last night and noticed it... Doesnt seem to last long though. Or cause any problems

   I have not lowered it. The smell is only outside, not through the vents. Thanks.

   You had a new exhaust system fitted recentley, mine smells a bit after a long run and it's the firegum paste they have put on the joints of the exhaust burning away.

    mine did this every so often. and it was worse when the heating was on.
