revs issue? help

hey i have a w reg vtr and i have got a problem with revs when accelerating at around 2-4k rpm it seems to jump up in revs then bogs down abit its almost asif the clutch is pressed in a little bit causing the revs to fly up a little then it just bogs down when the revs go up it just goes up by about half 2-3 cm i dont know what it could be i had same sort of problem before change fuel filter cleaned air filter and had small service including oil oil filter and spark plug change and it seemed to sort it out abit i have now put a tank of bp excelium fuel in and after about 60 miles on this fuel it seems to have started doing it again. the fact that the revs fly up so quick makes me think clutch because i dont see what else could cause that. any help would be good thanks
