Right i wanted to get a vts but i am contenplating just doing a converstion on my VTR i thinking of an Xsara VTS engine *160 something bhp) does any one know if they mount differently and will my driveshaft fit in the gearbox off one.

Any info would be much appreciated thanks

its been discussed lots mate, general opinion is don't bother. The extra weight of the xsara engine would totally unbalance the handling of the saxo and ruin it.

Far better to get saxo vts and tune it.

I want to go for the VTS but i need my car everyday so i would need to sell my car in the evening and get my VTS in the evening which i would probably find challenging.

Would i be better of converting my car to a saxo VTS engine you think mate

Either drop a saxo vts engine and all the extras into your car or simply get a vts. Insurance may well be an issue with engine transplants. Some people on the forum have found that insurance companies wouldn't cover a vtr with vts engine but would insure a vts.....

My mate is selling one, S-reg, done about 78k i think and only been lowered for about £2500. that seems reasonable to me

The conversion will not take place in one day mate! Will most prob take a few days!

If your serious about it sell up get a hire car for a week and buy a vts!

well i think any good company out there should be able to do the conversion in a day as long as there is no problems
