engine management light

I got my engine management light reset the other day at my local garage, after a few miles it came back on, i took it back to him and he plugged it in. He said the car is fine, the reason it keeps coming on is because my car in now decatted and the sensor is thinking i have a faulty cat.

The question i have is there any wires or anytimg i can pull out to get the light off, as i know the car is fine but just looks bad on my dash to my fellow crusiers. there has got to be a simple way of doing it without having to rip the dash out to take the bulb out.

Any ideas?? bearing in mind i dont want any nasty side effects of whatever i do

looks bad on the dash to fellow cruisers? daft sod

best to leave it there, that way when you stick the cat back on (MOT?) it'll light up for any other problems

this is similar to what i have, my light is on and the owner before me said he took it to a garage and they done a diagnostic on it and then tested the problem to reveal there wasn't one at all and i saw the paperwork for this, i was wondering if it could just be turned off some how as it is pretty annoying.

If you are sure that is caused by wrong lambda readings(you need to have 2 lambdaas),you can put it in the sleeve...
