stepper motor 1.1 -help please

    hi guys my 1.1 is idling like crap etc etc i heard it is a common fault . can i take the 1.1 stepper motor apart and clean it to make it work again or is it a buy a new one jobby.

    any help would be great

    single point or multi point injection 1.1, stepper motor is just another name for ICV

    rover call them stepper motors, pug/cit call them ICV's, Ford call them something else, but all told, good starting point to clean it out if its a 1.1 multipoint, if its a spi engine then its not got one!

    has it not? How does it idle then

    ps, it has. I remember replacing it at a cost of 108 quid.

    icv is part of the injector unit on a spi

    well, it bolts onto the side of the TB, if thats what you're getting at?
