Hand brake light staying on

   The light on the dash is staying on. Removed switch and checked with a meter. It was ok.
   Any Ideas?

   have you checked your brake fluid level?on some cars if it gets low it brings on the warning light.

   mine stays on due the handbrake not being strong enough to hold the swith down underneath the handbrake, while uve got the engine running push down the switch n see if it goes off.
