Flatspot revving from idle VTR Early Mk2

   As title, cars always done it, before and after recent service. Example, sat at traffic lights, lights go green, pop it into gear rev engine and it stubles for a second before revving. If I hold the throttle at say 1200 rpm then blip the throttle it increases revs cleanly. I was thinking map sensor or a bad injector perhaps?
   
   Any one shed any light on this?

   could be air flow mass meter went on me 106 before

   could be a senser on the way out.

   Thanks for the input but the stepper motor controls idle speed iirc, not sure how that would give me a flat spot.
   
   Any other suggestions lads ?
