vts to vtr conversion

I am thinking about buying a 1998 saxo vts it was originally a vtr but i am not able to afford the insurance on one so i was thinking of putting it back to a vtr so how easy would it be to convert it back to a vtr could i just swap it with the vtr engine in mine as it is the same year.

Why would you do this? In theory you are just going backwards? Just get a VTR and put some S rims on it if you want an S look-a-like?

by the time you've paid to change it all back it would probably cost more than the insurance would cost. especially with labour on top if you cant do it yourself

its what is known in the trade as a "bastard " car --you should be paying less for it than if it were an untouched vtr.
it willl+cost to put it back to std
so keep looking for the right car

Paint your car if you want a white one.

would just be easier to get a vtr

i'd personally keep looking for a white vtr but since you've got all the parts and your gonna do it yourself you've got nothing to lose.
