I am thinking about buying a 1998 saxo vts it was originally a vtr but i am not able to afford the insurance on one so i was thinking of putting it back to a vtr so how easy would it be to convert it back to a vtr could i just swap it with the vtr engine in mine as it is the same year.

#2Why would you do this? In theory you are just going backwards? Just get a VTR and put some S rims on it if you want an S look-a-like?
-
#3by the time you've paid to change it all back it would probably cost more than the insurance would cost. especially with labour on top if you cant do it yourself
-
#4i already have a vtr if you read what i said but i want a white one but i cannot find one but a white vts has come up for sale like 5mins from where i live so i was going to get that and put it back to a vtr
-
#6just case of engine loom ecu
-
#7its what is known in the trade as a "bastard " car --you should be paying less for it than if it were an untouched vtr.Quote:I am thinking about buying a 1998 saxo vts it was originally a vtr but i am not able to afford the insurance on one so i was thinking of putting it back to a vtr so how easy would it be to convert it back to a vtr could i just swap it with the vtr engine in mine as it is the same year.
it willl+cost to put it back to std
so keep looking for the right car -
#8seems like alot more effort than its worth to be honest.....
-
#9Paint your car if you want a white one.
-
#10would just be easier to get a vtr

#11i'd personally keep looking for a white vtr but since you've got all the parts and your gonna do it yourself you've got nothing to lose.
