Vt kitting

  1. #1
So as you may know i have a 5 door saxo and am trying to put a vt kit on. could someone please put a picture up of his front bumper and arches as my front vt bumper sticks out like 1 inch or so from the mudguard. i still haven't placed the arches on but anyway the arches are like half an inch if not less wide so my question is: does the arches sit flush with the bumper or is there like half an inch difference? thanks any pictures would help me decide

also i will post the pics up but now i'm at uni so i cant upload pics up.

Ok mate, I'm in the same boat with the VT kit and 5dr, When you put the front bumper on, the inner arch linings will leave a gap about half inch to an inch. you might wanna get some linings off a VTR and fit those, am gonna try this myself.

    Hope it helps

dont think you can put vt kits on 5 doors

Your have a proplems with the doors because 5 door front doors are small than 3 doors. But if you manage to do it i would like to see that

You have all got me wrong!!! The problem I have is with the arches that attach to the mudguards outside not inside! I have a gap in those! The arch lining I am going to solve just by welding plastic to it. If anyone can post a close up of the front of his car to see if the arches and front bumper are flush or not it would help me loads! Thx 4 now

    cant really weld plastic mate

yes you can, plastic welding is used to repair bumpers and trims as a standard bodyshop repair

I saw a 5 door with the VT kit on it on here the other day. It was silver with shopping list on the doors.

I can't find it again though.

hey nath89 i need a pic of someone's vtr or vts front view showing clearly how the arch and the front bumper come together...to see if it is flush or not! id doesn't have to be a 5 door model...just standard...to get the idea of how it is so that i can make mine look like it

Oh ok, my car is in pieces at the moment so i cant really help with a photo.
But here is a photo I found on Google....

    Does that help?

nope it doesn't because the problem i have is that the arches are made from fibre and i think that they are fked and not the correct version. i need a front angle to see how they come together and how far from the mudguard they are. but anyways thanks mate

if you can read then you would know that i'm not asking anything about the 5 door conversion...i'm just asking for pictures close up to the front bumper/arches! cause my vt kit is second hand and was damaged badly so when repairing the plastic welder might have accidentally put the bumper to stick more out from the mudguards etc...and also the arches are made from fiberglass so they may not be 100% accurate...

If you don't get a picture, I'll take one of mine because hopefully if the weather is decent i'm finishing spraying them and fitting them tomorrow But please don't hold me to it..because if it rains it won't get done.
