Gti/VTS Electrical Problem - Please Help!

As I was driving into work this morning my ABS light came on then went off and did this a few times, then during this the battery light started glowing intermittantly.

Then the little red light on the dash that is to do with the standard alarm came on and stayed on.

Then after a few seconds my dials started wizzing round and then they died, along with all the electrics to the car.

Then after a couple of seconds everything went back to normal!

I did have a problem with the standard alarm yesterday, It kept going off and then it wouldn't let me start the car!
It would let me turn the car over but then after less than a second it would die!
Then the red light on the dash for the alarm would be going crazy and with pushing the button on the steering column it still wouldn't sort it.

I had to leave the car unlocked all day and then it let me start the car after work as if nothing was wrong.

Can anyone help?.....

i'd start by getting the alternator checked out to make sure its charging and also check the belt is tight and all the connections are tight,and make sure the battery terminals are tight.

Brand dew alternator and checked all of the above

This same thing happend to me this morning, did you find the problem/
