  5. #5
well if your puttin foot down i.e full power then it would due to torque steer

Rofl! not in a 1.4 mate.It could be a number of things,Have you got a knocking drive shaft?Thall cause it pull to one side.Check your tyre pressures and maybe get your tracking done.

Balancing maybe? Could be tracking also?
  8. #8
    sticky caliper?

i dunno i sometyms get torque steer in my furio , if i'm in first and boot it you can feel it pull slightly but only in first never like get in when driving in any other gear
  11. #11
yh i will chek thos this evening thanks guys
  12. #12
sounds like your tracking is out mate
  13. #13
i don't think it's the tracking mate , if it was all the time then yeah most likely , but if it's only when you accelerate then it's probably something else ,, does it do it in every gear ?
  14. #14
na only in 1st when i hammer it lol
  15. #15
i kinda duz when i get to 3rd gear it dont do it just goes inastraight line you know
  16. #16
if it's in 1st mate thats just the wonderful thing called torque steer haha .. i get that aswell mate , better in the wet

yea lol, spinning up in every gear, love it
  19. #19
probably a bushing in the wishbone before it would be anything else.
  20. #20
Seriously now guys.It ant torque steer in a 1.4
  21. #21
yeah like i said before, just sounds like torque steer if its only when u HAMMER! it in first, cant see it being much more than that, so nothing to worry about
  22. #22

you only get torque steer with boost really
  24. #24
not being funny but my vts didnt used to 'torque steer'. I think it may be something else . . .

my rs on the other hand is awfull, then again it has 210+ibfts

i feel your pain, 225 18s wont tame my 290.4 lbs ft of torque
  26. #26
    i only have 195 15's
  27. #27
sorry maybe im calling it torque steer but using the wrong describation, basically what i mean is car can pull to the left at full power in first gear due to tyres spinning, its not uncommon... i have obviously been calling this torque steer when it clearly isnt, my bad
im not as much of a noob as i sometimes sound lol
  28. #28
what you are describing is torque steer mate but i think 95% of cars on the road will do it in first. My car will do it in 1st, 2nd , 3rd and 4th if i hit full boost through the gears. I dont think a 1.4 saxo would though
  29. #29
oo right well thats ok then lol thank god i wasnt talking shite lol

but this fella has said it only does it in first when he hammers it? and as you said yourself 95% of cars do it in first, hence why i assumed it is more than likely his problem?

Check the basics that you can do mate.....
    tyre pressure
    Tyre tread
Un even wear on the front discs to see if it is a sticky piston....
See if your steering wheel is straight when going straight....

If you can see whats wrong with it from then onwards go to a garage....
If sounds to me that its not a major issue that needs attention...

sounds like a low pressure tyre on one side.

suprised nobody's done the whole "shouldnt be booting it in first" "you're the reason insurance is so high" speech yet!

    tom
  32. #32
you shouldnt be booting it in first anyway, thats the reason peoples insurance premiums are so high . .

to the mot station . . before it broke
  35. #35
yh check tyre pressures. A 1.4 won't torque steer mate
  36. #36
Lol dude i fink your right there is no were near unuf power in that 75 bhp engine lol its got quik pulling away but then they catch me n burn me lol
