just bought a saxo vtr and was wanting to spray the standard vtr alloys black to match the car, can this be done at home or would it be best to take it to a garage? and if it can be done at home wat sort of paint would you need for it?

#2It can be done at home, but off less quality. Using aerisols wont be to the same standard as someone using a spray gun.
But it can sometimes be quicker and cheaper using aerisols. Rub the wheels done to a smooth finsish, starting with a high grit (depending on conditioin of wheels) and finishing using a 1200 grit. Then primer the wheels, nice a thin layers, rubbing down between coats with really really fine wet and dry. When you are happy with the primer, its time to spray. Using aerisols than you can pick up in halfords for example, or better again get them to mix you up some, spray the wheels a few coats, again only in thin layers at a time.
Then you would be better to lacquer them at the end just to give them a nice finish

#5It's easy enough to do yourself, just take your time. I know theres a thread around here somewhere showing you how to do it. Check all the FAQ's & good luck
