   what would a uprated cam give me and are they straight forward to fit(old for new). will it do any damage to the engine in the long run

   they are not straight forward to fit!.. not sure of the gains!. do a search and check the stats!.
   you can get different types of cams with different profiles!. i dont think it will damage the engine as long as it is set up properly!.

   i have the fast road kent cam. me and me old man fitted it in our garage. if i remember correctly on a starndard engine the incrase was 12bhp (kent cam specs). theres no reason it will damage the engine unless like citroenaxgtr said its not set up properley. Get it done mate
