Right raunchz came down to sort out the oil leak which i though was the head gasket turned out to be breather leaking alot so thats fixed

    now the suspension.
After jacking the car up the front shocks are leaking so need to be changed there a spax PSX kit so not a awesome kit. Only been fitted for 10k but hey hoy. I got a bonus from work and want a really decent setup. Would be be worth getting something like billies and 155lb springs or coilovers...

what would you recommend thank s

could get the peugeot sport/ billie items.

with coilovers you get a larger selection of spring heights and lb rating's.

im looking to upgrade to the tarmac shizzle in the future.

have you considered engine mounts and bushes to?

ive found this site, loads cheaper than special tuning (although im not sure if they inc VAT, but will still be cheaper than special even if they dont)

As i have stated in so many thread before you need to find your own best setup. People jump in say billie are best but there are B8, Group N, the black capped revalved pugsports then all the pugpsort inverted/ standard style pugsport billies.

All depends on what you are actualy going to use the car for. People say they want "track" set ups but they will never see the track apart from 15minutes at FCS or Trax

Well the car is going off the road and will only be used for weekend and track fun. I hope to get to germany this year. And personally if i was only going to spent 15mins on track time i would cut the springs down lol...

i just want a all round good performer i want something that is decent enough on the road and equally as goon on the track

I'd go with the Bilstein Group N's and 155lb faulkner setup - should be spot on for both types of driving.

Thats the setup im sorting out on my mates car sounds like for similar sort of driving too.

Bilstiens GrpN dampers with 155lb springs and B8 Rears...should be a good road going setup for him i rekon, along with all the polybushes etc.

Agree with that for using the car on the road for the majority of the time - with then a cheeky trackday/hillclimb here and there.

Can always stiffen the front up with different springs (the Group N's will cope fine with that) - then if you fancy, bigger T.Bars on rear and new rear dampers = sorted.

Can adjust the feel a bit with a bigger/smaller rear ARB (can drop down to a 19mm iirc or upto a 24mm) and a nice diff to really up the handling if you wanted

I run 155lb Faulkners and Group N Billies - they are ideal for fast road use, but probably a little on the soft side for heavy track use imo. 170/ 180lb springs would be a good shout if you can live with the ride day to day. The 180lb Saxo spec Faulkners are quite short in length though, so have to be careful when jacking the car up.

Get a spring/ damper setup you're happy with, then fine tune it by swapping ARBs.

would only be too short if you ordered a short length.
