hi i am going to be lowering my saxo furio when i come back off holiday, i want it about 35-40mm lower so heres my question...
can i just buy some springs tht will lower the front the amount (these are about £60) and drop the torsion bar? or is a full kit needed
    Thanks

you don't need a full kit to lower it but if you get the shocks it will handle a lot better. if your just lowering it maily for the look then just the springs and torsion bar adjust will do.

Personally I would buy the full kit, do it right once and you won't have to pay twice. There is often full kits go up for sale in the "For Sale" section, this can normally save you £50-100. Upgrading the shocks isn't necessary for the 40mm drop, but is always recomended

I lowered mine around 60 at the front on just springs. I think they seem to last around a year until you start to notice a few minor noises as is what has happened with mine and a few mates cars. My opinion is: if its worth doing, its worth doing properly having learned from experience. But yeah 35-40mm will look ace mate

willsy told me this last night
"general rule of the thumb is that dampers should be changed for anything less than 40mm, although id always recommend changing them anyway as the standard ones are pretty ineffective when lowered."

and of all the work if seen willsy and lee do they are top notch jobs
