#2You can get proper silicone high temp spray to go over it
certain brands dont require it though1 user thanked this post: -
#3Where from mate?
Sounds expensive! -
#4Wrap it as tights as you can & use plenty of stainless steel tie wraps
mine stayed wrapped using this method for over 2yrs.
Hope it helps.

#7hang on, silicon spray like wd40?
-
#8no, wd40 is a penetrating fluid, it would just smoke because of the heat, and its flamable - think of it like my car, had oil on the manifold and the car caught fire, fun times, fun times.
p.s you can get metal tie-wraps from any shop, even halfrauds, but make sure you can borrow someones metal tie-wrap gun, because if you dont, your just looking to get sliced fingers! - think metal tie-wrap guns are about £50 last time i bought one - but there good if your using them day to day like i was doing a grade 4 fire system in a factory where nothing can be plastic, has to be metal.
but they will ensure that the tie-wrap never comes undone!, then again - you could always coat something ontop of it, i.e high temp paint? that would make the wrap stick together - its just a suggestion.1 user thanked this post:
