Last time i used low profile tyres were on my last car, and i farely loved them!

Im thinking about a set of pro race 1.2's, but the main problem i see with it is, i want to go 14" but i beleive there is NO low profile tyre for that size.

If im right, if i had a set of 15" pro race's with low profile tyres, in effect - they will be the same width as if i had 14" with normal tyres on the car?

Would that be right?, because last time i placed a 15" with low profile against a 14" with normal sized tyres and they were roughly the same, but that was a long time ago, and i cant really remember it!

    15" should run a 195-45-15 tyre (VTS)
    14" should run a 185-55-14 tyre (VTR)

These both have the same overall diameter & rolling radius.

Just remember the wider the tyre the smaller the profile and the same for the wheel size.

Good to know, so in effect, if my car is lowered a certain height - with the low profiles on 15's should have the same stance/height as if I was using vtr alloys

    sweet - thanks Quick

Whast do you call low profile? In the good old days anything under 60 so both really run low profile, you could go to 17s with 35s, 35s are what sit on Porsche and are really stiff. Yes 45-15s are the same stance as 55-14s just the wheel is more of the picture and the ride is stiffer.

Hmm, well last time i used low profile, was the toyo proxes, and i beleive there are only one size for 15" - think it was 255/55 or maby 195/55 i cant remember lol

ive got low profile tyres on my 14" rallye steels they are 195/45/14 compared to the vtr tyres which are 185/55/14

have a look on rimstyle, they come with 45 profile standard, but as you said i dont think they do anthracite but they are cheaper than other places i found, just ordered my wheels from there

normally youll need to pay extra for the 45 profile they usually come with 55 profile

4 x108 is the normal one

    195/55/15 is the higher profile

and 195/45/15 is lower as youll prob know already

    these are kinda anthracite
