Induction Kit?

    Hi, i have a saxo furio and i want to know if this induction kit is worth buying?

    im getting one for my vtr, there enclosed so there good, bit pricey though, them pipercross viper kits are good aswel but there like 200quid brand new id just go with the BMC

    They are Ok, not the best but far from the worst. Just make sure you get a good cold air feed

    I used to have a closed "forced air" induction kit made by green, it was a cheaper version / copy of what pro-comp do / did. If I remember it was only £120.00 new and to be fair it worked a treat.

    Uprated panel filter + cold air feed ftw.

    P.s don't be fooled by all the carbon fibre claims e.t.c as long as the casing is heat treated plastic its fine. You could always put in a decent replacement panel filter and take out a few resonance chambers (model depending) if you wanted to. Car manufacturers don't waste thousands of pounds designing the optimum air in-take route for nothing !

    And neither do aftermarket companies, car manufacturers often design air intakes for economy purposes and to keep the engine quiet and smooth. Not good for performance on everyday cars (High performance is another case though) But even the air intake systems on Super cars can be improved.

    Fair point I suppose it depends on what you want to eventually do to the car. If you combine a good air intake system with an good exhaust set-up you should get some healthy performance increases.
