Hiya I was wondering if anyone can help, my car starts ok when cold, but if i try to restart it when still warm from being out it won't start sometimes it takes a few times of trying other times it can take loads, any ideas what it could be? Thanks.

Have had battery & starter motor off the car, has all been put back on but now the immobiliser light on dash is on & so can't get the car to start, can anyone help please

sounds like the pick up ring around the ignition barrel had the same problem a while back got one from local breakers for a fiver never had the problem since

    but it could also be
faulty pin form the ecu or the imobiliser box behind the dash

This happened to mine. it will be the Transponder reciever, they £18 from citreon.
If you look at your barrel you can see like a black plastic ring around the metal bit, inside that is a copper coil, after time this breaks down causing the connection to be shite.

All you have to do is get a new one from citreon, fitting is a 10 min job.
If you look on the steering cowling underneath theres 2 screws take them out, drop the cowling down. The black bit simply slides off and unplugs, plug the one in and slide it on and away you go.
