I've been a pillock...

Got a new stereo for my Saxo the other day, and they came with a half price set of speakers. 6 x 9's went in fine but the door speakers were too big so I set to work on the trim to try and fit them in. After a few hours I realised they weren't going in so I screwed them directly to the trim but they just fell off when I shut the door.

I'm gonna go buy smaller speakers so that they stay in at least but now I have a rather large hole in the drivers side trim, It doesn't bother me much but if i ever wanna sell the car I'm gonna have to stick new trim in it.

Question is, are new door trims easy to get hold of? And do they come with the speaker covering bits?

sounds like you have butchered it pal, best thing to do is go scrappy, and get your speakers fitted proffesionally in future lol

The grill that covers the speakers is only going to be a few quid from a scrappy mate. Then no one is any the wiser...

Right found a scrappy nice and close to me, how easy is it to get the trim off? I managed to loosen it when i was trying to fit the speakers but couldnt get it all the way off presumably because of the door handle. Will that just pop off like the window crank did?
