Important! : Rotting car! Help!

   Alright,
   
   I need some help with my car.
   
   Basically, I took it to a mates garage to get the exhaust mount welded back on as it snapped off and he had to take the rear left wheel off to get to it. What he saw was horrid .
   
   The back wheel arches have rotted so badly, you can just peel it off and get 3/4 fingers through to the boot. It's also the same on the back right arch and also front right leg.
   
   I love this car and would love to get it sorted for its MOT and obviously for my safety as it seems as though the car might fall apart at anytime!
   
   Alls I need to know if how much and is it worth it?
   
   I'll see if I can get pics up ASAP.
   
   EDIT: I'm looking into getting the car patched and welded, so it will pass it's MOT - any idea how much this will be?

   Mine front chassis leg and my boot rotted through, paid a mate 200 pounds to do it, was like new

   can't give a price without seeing it, and anyone who can is a cowboy! i refuse to give 100% accurate quotes for welding repairs even when the car is in front of me, i've seen saxos that have failed the MOT on a "patch of welding about 3 inches by 6inches" and i've ended up rebuilding half of the back end!! Until all the rots cut out and cleaned up back to bare metal its nigh on impossible to see what lies behind all the sealer thats on them.
