My Saxo's been broken into!

   anyway, any idea how much a new side window is? Am I best getting though insurance because I know sometimes the excess is lower for glass etc?

   sound like proper chav scum if they just smashed the window check through ebay/scrappies see how much it is and get ya local garage to do a quote it might work out cheaper than ur excess and losin no claims

   Yeah, up here we call them neds! There's blood on the dash and all over the steering wheel, they've clearly been spooked or foiled by the immobiliser!
   
   I've been told by autoglass that it won't affect my ncb, otherwise I was going to just fix it myself. But with it being sunday I couldn't find a motorfactors that is open and don't want to leave the car unsecured overnight.

   Feckin dicks man. Get that blood cleaned and sanitized bud, god knows what infections these heroin atticted scum have in there boddies. If it wont affect ur no claims bonus then go for it, but check with insurance company first as autoglass say one thing and the insurnace comapnies say another.

   Check you have window cover on your policy, usually doesn't affect ncb, excess is typically £50-£75ish give your insurance company a ring and ask, otherwise secondhand glass is best bet, ebays a good place, either fit yourself or local garage will fit, doesnt take long so shouldn't be to expensive.

   if you were local i would of given you one i have about 8 full sets in my unit.

   Quick update:
   
   I checked with my insurance and they do have a special glass policy. Only £70 excess and doesn't affect my NCB. Was pretty chuffed because I needed it fixed right away as is was completely insecure with no window. Autoglass quoted me £280, and even though I only had to pay £70 regardless I refused due to principal lol. A company called Autoglaze (I think) did it for a much more reasonable £140.
   
   Anyway, so glad the car's secure now, i don't have to watch it constantly! Police took swabs of the blood and are fairly hopeful they'll catch the prick. To be fair they've had a pretty good attitude about helping me and even turned a blind eye my flat smelled of weed lol. Gave the dash a clean and got rid of most of the glass (how can so much come from one window!?) now i just need to hoover all the wee crevises!
   
   So, £70 down and a car full of glass and blood. Could have been worse!

    i had every window for £170 fitted from scappy haha just goto wait for a saxo with the window u need to come into scrappy, btw report to police they will take the blood and find the DNA therefore if u suspect a person to have done the car they can bloodtest them and catch them thats what i did !! cunt thought he's got away with it till i found his blood on seat

    I dont know why cars dont have silent alarms. Instead of alerting the chav scum with an siren so that they can run away- pipe the alarm to the house then you can either ring the plod, or go outside and panel thier heads in
