Sounds like spraying

    Has anyone had this problem, Its on my VTR its coming from the fron drivers side, it sounds like a spraying sound and its getting more and more frequent, ive checked under the hood and its clean as a whistle, i get out and cant hear it when i listen next to the wheel, i cant hear it under the bonnet but when i get back in the car its loud it sounds like its coming from behind the dash.

    It happens when im stationary and turning

    Does anyone have any idea what it could be and is it fixable without breaking the bank?

    power steering pump - turn full lock and try to keep turning the wheel, does it get louder?

    air in coolant, sound like water rushing behind dashboard - bleed system.

    brake servo leaking (therefor sucking in air) run car for 10 seconds or more. Leave car for 5 mins then remove the hard plastic pipe on brake servo. If you hear no rush of air or a pop as you pull the pipe out it's likely the servo needs replacing. You would likely get rough running/poor idle in this sceanrio as well.

    fan motor (for heaters) might be catching on the housing as it spins. Set fans to off position and listen for change.

    btw is the noise there when not moving as well as when driving?

    Yeah its both now, it was only stationary before but the past two days its getting more whilst driving, I have noticed an oil leak but very small next to the front wheel

    And yeah when you turn the wheel to full lock it feels weird and sounds bad
