you shouldnt need to buy new rocker cover m8 just buy the gasket sealant my vts was pissing out oil used this now its fine not 1 drop dripping anywhere, but dnt be shy with it as the rocker covers have lips around the edge put plenty in. u will need them torques bits tho. gud look

i had the same problem. go into citroen parts and ask for a rocker cover gasket for your car/year/model. it will cost you £13.

You can, the torque setting is 16NM for the Rocker Covers, but as I found with a wrench, this is nothing. Take a spanner after a 16NM tighten and the bolts still have plenty to tighten. Just use a socket and tighten it down till the nut gets a bit stiff than stop.

i took mine right off on my vts cleaned it up with a little sand paper buffing disc from work then blew it off with an air line and there done by sealent just make sure you give it plenty of time to go off

You either bodge with sealant or do it properly with a gasket, gasket should be around a tenner at a motor factors and its as simple as making a cup of tea.

Righty, having read this thread it's all very very confusing so will try make it clearer for all

This is 8V rocker cover, seal is buyable from peugeot, factors or ebay cheap as and is an easy swap

This is J4 rockers, these prone to leak, the gaskets on them are part of the cover and are therefore non replacable, in my experience you can scrape the "gasket off and replace with this Clicky Amazing stuff, do a big fat bead (unbroken)where the gasket once was wait 10 minutes, place covers on car, bolt up finger tight and leave for at;east 10 hours, then tighten the bolts up and voila, sealed!

These are JP4 rockers, they don't leak alot, but if they do the Gasket is buyable/replacable from peugeot got less than a tenner!

    Hope this helps
