Alright guys..
For the last couple of weeks my drivers door handle (exterior) has being a bit sticky. Sometimes it would not flip back like it was supposed to and i would have to push it back myself in order for the door to shut properly..
Anyway, today's plan was to clean my car. (it's a 2002 Vts) and grease this door handle.
After doing the outside of the car i was about to move inside and i noticed the handle felt strange. I.E it didn't feel like it was pulling anything.
After getting the door to close (which now i sooo regret ha) the door is locked shut. If i press the button on my fob for the central locking it tries to unlock but then quickly locks again. So it won't open.
So, i can get inside the car via the passenger side. Only by the key though as the central locking keeps engaging itself.
The main problem with this is the alarm is now engaged and keeps going off and off and off if i am inside the car!
Does anyone know what my problem is? I've done quite a few searches on here and found some people have had the same or similar problems.
The main problem first is the alarm. How can i disarm this temporarily? I know i can take the terminals of the battery but i was wondering if there was a fuse or something? Then i could still drive the car.
Secondly, the door itself. I've tried to have a look behind the door card to see what the problem is but with the seat being in the way and the door shut there's not much i can get at.
Is there something stuck? Is the central locking motor broken? Maybe it's the handle issue that i talked about first. That could just be a coincidence though.
Any help would be pretty much appreciated as i have had to leave the car where it was and i am now carless!
