Hi chaps changed my Mk2 dash LED's today to white and have a problem only the temp gauge is lighting up, the speedo, rev counter, digi display and petrol guage aren't. I used that circuit diagram of matty's to check they are soldered right which I was sure they was I did them 1 at a time and according to the diagram they are all right. Any ideas lads I got the LED's from ebay has anyone been skanked with any faulty ones.

Yep it appears to be faulty LED's when I lightly press on them they come on and I ain't got any bad joints so I'm assuming I've been shafted buy the ebay seller. I've ordered some more today from a different place. Thanks for the reply mate I thought everyone on here was ignoring me on purpose

It's a straight forwards job mate if you can solder plus there's a great guide on here plus a picture of which way the LED's all go. My problem is I bought/got sold faulty PLCC-2 SMD LED's first time around. Will be fixed soon.

Well the new LED's arrived Saturday morning and I fitted them today and they are all working in one colour White but if I fit any other colors ie Red or Blue they all stop working. Any idea's anyone? Does the MCD have to be exactly the same for all the different colours as that's the only thing I can think of. Still happy as it looks great white I'll post a pic once it's dark.

Here's the full working set that now match my head unit and they are nice and bright as it ain't even dark yet so all in all it was worth it.

what do the switches do on your dash? sure u could have used an old heated back screen or hazard buttons instead of cutting holes
