Paint removing

Please let me know if this is the wrong section.

I need to remove some paint off the plastic in the middle of the car. the old owner painted both sides for some reason?!

how would i remove it so i can get it looking like the rest of the bumper down the side?

Got the same problem lol...I didn't mask it when i sprayed it because it seemed awquard, so now i'm gonna try fine sand paper and turps or paint thinner or something..

If you want it black like your other bits
Your gunner need a new arch panel

could just spray down some black, keeping it fairly rough so it stays matt

get some nitromors (green tub) and work it into the bump strip. dont let it drip and definatley dont let it touch the paint on the panel. it will start to bubble up and should leave the black plastic underneath.

no problem, its cheap stuff and very handy when doing other odd jobs so even if it proves useless you'll still have gained something lol

dont use paint stripper on plastic bits on vehicles it will ruin it as it is an acid it will just look horribe ... what you want to do is get some wet and dry sand paper i would recomend going up through the grades starting with p800 to get the clear coat off then work it down with p1000 and finish off with p1200 take your time and finish off with back to black to bring it back to colour

i meant mask off and not wet and dry between coats, so you get some orange peel, giving it a similar texture to the bump strips...
