oil on spark plug

   okay... so changing my spark plugs today
   
   3rd one in from the left on a 8v engine (1.6 VTR)
   
   anyway, the oil wasn't around the top, or the bottom of the spark plug, it was on the thread
   
   could this affect anything? would there be any reason for this?
   
   (engines running fine etc...)

   no any oil on the threads wont cause any harm buddy.

   Maybe you have worn piston rings or leaking valve stems.Does it produce blue smoke?

   Spark plug was not fully sealed onto the head and the combustion pressure has forced oil/petrol mix up the threads. Don't fret it is normal

   Nope no blue smoke...
   
   Could it have put oil/petrol mix on just the thread and not the spark end?
