15x7 wheels... Whats the issue?

   Evenin,
   Basically, I had my eye set on a set of rather nice alloys for my little 1.1 Saxo 03, and it all checked out. On first emailing the company they said it would all fit fine, and put the last arrangements together for my order. I received an email later saying, 'Sorry, on checking i have noticed that they are 15x7 and therefore will not fit your Saxo'. Could someone please explain what the x7 measurement is, and also what numbers I have to look out for that will actually fit?

   Means they are 7" wide. Need a pcd of 4x108 and an et of 15 (anything above this will require spacers).

   however on a flat arch the rear arches are too narrow for a 7" wheel
   
   you need to either bend over or remove the lip off the arch so they clear

   Yea 7 inch wide will be to wide to fit under the arches on a flat arch saxo.

   Argh this is doing my nut in. Ive been ringing round, and i got a quote regarding Fox FX2's, and was told that they would be a direct fit, no spacers or anything needed (they are 15x6.5). I then emailed POTN as they had a better price and they just sent me a blunt email saying 'Sorry, they do not fit your car'. Ive now rung a third garage regarding Lenso RS5's (Also 15x6.5) and they say that they will fit fine, but i will need spacers. Im just in such a head-fek now that i just dont know who to trust! Lenso RS5's are the dogs bollocks, and ive seen them on one or two Saxo's, but theyre VTR's and mine is a 1.1 03.
   
   Any ideas?
