   When i leave the light on in my car and open the door it usually makes a beeping noise to let me know my lights are on, but tonight i noticed there us no beeping noise when they are on and i open the door!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone know why>???????????????

   Mine beeps when I've left the headlights on, but not when only the sidelights are left on...

   I am not totally sure what you mean!!!! but i mean the light when you drive in darkness...not the first switch when the lights are dim, but the ones when you drive in the dark <not ful beam> the last i knew, they beeped if i opened the door with them on, now they dont xx

   I know what you mean, and it should beep... It's a fault in the system somewhere, I can't really help as I don't know much about that sort of thing, but I'm sure some other people on here can.

   buzzers probably gone. Ill have to look in the haynes to find where its hidden!

   With engine off and light on mine beeps when I open door but if I close and reopen it it stops. Weird but not really a problem tbf. Agree with above, get new buzzer to fix

    Does it still beep with the passenger door open? If you open the door and look by the hinges, roughly in the middle is like a black button thing that sticks out. When this is depressed the car knows that the door is open therefore starts the beep noise. If dirt or some other crap has got in there sometimes they don't depress properely. If this is the case coat it with wd40 and give it a very light tap with a screw driver or something and it should free up.

    First try the passenger door to see if the buzzer goes off when the "normal" lights are left on. If it goes off then then the "black" thingy with the button sticking out could be broken on the drivers side. If it is, get a new 1 from a citroen dealer there only a couple of quid. They normally break due to old age or lots of shite getting on them. It could be worth taking it off and cleaning it and the 2 screws that fix it down. The 2 screw act as an earth for it so if theres 2 much crap on them it won't earth correctly. A further test to see if it def is the button thing is does the interior light come on when the drivers door is open ? if it doesn't then its the button thing.
