engine conversions

Hi basically I want to put a vtr engine into my mk 2 furio. Does any1 on here fit them n prices aswell wd b gd. Also wat parts can stay from my old engine and what do I need new?

basically you just need engine and gearbox (or if you wanna keep your old box on obv you will only need the engine) erm.. drive shafts should be fine, make sure the engine comes complete with alternator, thermostat etc all your coolant pipes should be fine, you might need a new accelerator cable, fuel line will be fine oh and make sure it comes with starter motor even though you could probably use the furio one, your rad should be fine and try and get the vtr engine mount as im not sure if your furio one will be strong enough, then again my mate had his vts engine held up with a 1.1 mount and that held lol but i wouldn't recommend it lol i have a vtr mount on my vts and thats fine, so off the top off my head just make sure the engine is complete and ask for the engine mount and id get a new accelerator cable, but you might be lucky and the furio might fit, you could try it with out changing it if it fits brilliant if it doesn't just pop down to your local motor factors and pick one up

EDIT: i completely forgot the loom and unlocked vtr ecu lol doh!

so..
Engine and gearbox complete
unlocked ecu and loom
maybe accerator cable

Just make sure its a three plug engine tho! (im guessing as you have a furio then its a mk2 so therefore a three plug)
