Gearknob stuck, argh!

   It's driving me mad. I have a very pretty new gearknob to go on in place of my worn out old yellow thing and I can't get the damned thing off!
   
   Are they glued on or something? I don't have much brute force being a weedy 5'2" girl and I nearly cried when my hand slipped and I hit myself on the roof yesterday.
   
   Can't believe I'm asking such a basic question, lol!

   basic standard gearknobs are usually a complete barsteward to get off.
   My mates 206 took lots of spray lube (Cheeky ) and a hell of a pull to get it off

   Using lube on my car feels like such a waste, lol
   
   I'm going to have to hire some strong burly men for this tricky task!

   put it in 4th gear, sit in the back seats and TUG

    I will do, it's sat in the footwell at the moment waiting for me to arrive back with the car on Wednesday. Taxing it Thursday and taking it out

    i usually just take the whole thing out then hammer a screwdriver into the plastic bit n it just shatters n u can then take it off really easy

    you need to really pull it, get some WD40 spray up wards into it and pull and twist! i had to put mine into 3rd gear cause i was worryin id break my gear stick clean off haha. after a fair bit of pushing and pulling it came clean off (:
