faulty fuel gauge

   can anyone help me with a faulty fuel gauge it says i hav half a tank and i have nothing in the tank wot could it be please help its driving me mad

   Could be that the fuel float is stuck in that position, or the sender unit is naffed.

   can i just replace sender unit or do i have to buy a full pump

   All depends on which model you have. On the early models the sender unit is a separate unit, on the later models the sender unit is an integral part of the pump.
