engine build prices????

   will be looking at getting an engine built in the future, but not sure how much cash i need to be saving up first.
   
   sent a couple of emails to different companies and waiting for replies, but wondered what other people have paid and maybe where you had the work done.
   
   already got modified head, throttle bodies, cams.
   
   need bottom end building up though.

   just a price asin labour charges or parts and labour. List your spec and people will quote from there on. or ask advice from the builer on what they use/ like working with.
   
   head modified in what way? what itbs?

   head is ported and polished, piper 300 cams, solid followers, stronger springs, 3 angle valve seats. might get bigger inlet valves put in as its a saxo head.
   
   throttle bodies, i have gsxr 1000 throttle bodies on a manifold with the gear linkage modified to give the same amount of pedal travel as standard. (near as damn it anyway)
   
   build could be some parts and labour. will be getting some forged pistons + steel rods, ecu (which is on order) loom, and big end bearings, sump baffle myself before the build but not sure what else is needed tbh.
   
   might go all out and get a stroker kit if i wait longer but they are another couple of grand i think.

   2 and half grand of kam racing mate, where did you get your head polished and ported from?

   actually got that from hi flow heads but i live in nottingham now so possibly looking at getting some work done closer to home.
   
   used the head on standard block for about 1000 miles then decided to do it properly. some of the work was done at other places aswell.
